How to give something away and still keep it!
In a very abstract sense, communication is simply the process of replicating in your mind a thought, idea or concept that’s in my mind. And interestingly enough, when I communicate knowledge to you, when I give it to you, then you have it but I still have it, too. All of it.
This is one of the very few instances that I can think of where I can give something away and still retain it for myself. In most cases, if I give you something, then I don’t have it anymore. But if I communicate something to you, you have it and I do, too.
I gotta say I’m hard-pressed to think of any other situation such as this, where I can share something and still have all of it myself. Love, maybe . . .
